Good morning to all.
Started my day in pink. I was supposed to wear a white-pink-pin-stripped pants, but ended up wearing my deep pink netted long skirt. I've been wearing pants since the time I started work. To match the bottom, I wore a pink plain sleevless top and a white and pink stripped cardigan. Yes! Too pink for my personality, but then again, what the hell, it's not everyday I dress this way! My classes are starting today as well. Electronic Media and Public Relations. Wow, for two days in a week I'll be reaching home only by midnight! Sigh! Well, I guess it's for the best. If I don't suffer and work hard now, I know I'll never will!
I can't belive I am waking up at 610am everyday and leaving my place at 7am just to reach work by 830am. I think perhaps the waking up isn't too bad compared to my journey to work! Sigh! Check out my schedule!
I wake up at 610am - Take a dump and shower by 620am - Do my routine moisturising, powdering and body spraying - Grab my bag(which I had already packed day before), my shoes and try to leave as silently as possible so as not to wake my hubby's slumber(He only wakes up at 715am) - Leave my house at 7am - Walk about 5-8 mins to the 913 bus stop - Take the bus to Woodlands Mrt by latest 715am - Take the Pasir Ris Train by 720am - Arrive at Clementi by 755am - Walk to the bus stop opposite Clementi Station and try to take 183 or 183A by 810am - Reach my office at Science Park II by 830am.
Now tell me, isn't this a journey to be dreaded. Well, to keep myself distracted, I listen to the radio and read a book. Its actually a great way to catch up on reading, but it sure takes skill to stand in the buses and train to read a book. Right, that's my daily routine of morning exercise.
Past few days have been quite monotonous actually. Saturday night my hubby and I went down to Woodlands Mrt and borrowed a few VCDs. Oh gosh, I can only remember Zodiac and a local Singapore documentary on the "Super Natural", can't remember what the other 2 were. All I know I've got to return them by tomorrow. Sigh! We only managed to watch the Singapore documentary. It was quite interestiing because it covered places like the old Changi hospital, Pulau Ubi, certain other parts of isoloated Singapore where they captured photographs of 'mysterious sightings'. After watching that, I think we watched Spongebob and then slept. Next morning, ate my father in law's fish curry and fried fish, then sent my husband for his work and went back to my mum's place. My husband was involved in the ND's Rally.
I went to my mum's place in Jurong because, she had booked badminton courts in the new Jurong West Sports Hall. It was a hell of a workout!! It's been like so long since I played. It was quite disappointing to see that I had become so rusty, but luckily my dad was there to straighten me out. I was back to my old style of playing. Still trying my best to smash though! Not enough power yet...My cousin joined us for the game, and later we chilled back at my mum's place and watched the Rally. I was slightly disappointed that we aren't getting more cash outs...haha, yeah, guess I have been to pampered by the government's generosity, but then again, I guess the CPF thing is a good measure. What a waste for me that there are now new policies on the HDB ruling. So sad that we had lost out on the government goodies by 1 month. Anyways, got mu hubby's message that hewas gonna leave, so my cousin and I picked him up from JE and we headed back to woodlands. That was about all on a Sunday night. Monday morning, I almost became too lazy to go to work. Well, it was raining!!! The first thought that came to my mind was the journey, so I was kind of hoping I so did not have to go to work, but something just struck me, and I litterally forced myself out of bed and headed to work. It was a good thing I came too, because, so many didn't turn up in my office and it's a kind of a popular habit that people normally take Leaves or MCs on Mondays and Fridays(for those who don't work on Saturdays). I guess they would just like an extended weekend. I had that habit as well and I saw where it landed me. So this time around, I am trying my very best to kick that habit out!
For the first time after work, I took the shuttle bus to Harbour Front and it was the first time I was actually seeing Vivo City! Yes yes, I am one of the pathetic souls who hasn't checked it out yet. But then again, it's just another shopping centre! And just more money that I'm gonna wanna spend! So, at present not going to Vivo is pretty ok for me. I was suppose to meet my sis at tekka to get my Onam clothes sewn. Mum had bought kerala saries much earlier and this time we're using those saries to make suits! Yup yup! So from Harbour Front, took the train to Little India, met my sis, went to the shop, gave the clothes, gave our measurments and then went to Apollo Banana Leaf to feast. Haha, it was my sister's treat, so whilst we were there, I waited for my hubby and my parents to join us. It was the first time I was having KEEMA NAAN! It was awesome!! But dammn filling. We went back to our homes after that.
Watched Spongebob and slept. Looks like Spongebob's in our regular routine. Haha! Those who watch it, it's simply addictive! Lottsa double meanings and mature concepts! Well thats about all for now.
Cheers,
Tunitha
