Hello,
Good to see you again. Been quite tied up amongst stuff...work most of the time. Nah, aint a workaholic! No intention of being one either. So how did the Valentine's Day go?! Mine? Well, wasn't really bad, in fact found some joy in it.
I cooked. Yeah! One dish. Chilli chicken. Don't ask me how I did it, but I did. Rite this is how the whole thing went.
Was quite free at work, so I thought of being extra nice to my valentine and did out 3 poems. Cut them out into small pieces. Like love notes. Well, tried to make them love notes.
Rushed after work to grab some assorted chocolates and the well-known love factor -Wine! Sheesh best part about this whole thing was I had to carry some stuff of my valentine's who passed it to me in the morning on my way to work.
So I was carrying the chocolates, my laptop in my bag and my valentine's stuff. Aint strong, pretty weak actually, but sometimes when you've got that urge to do something, I guess nothing comes in the way.
So I rushed home, now, why did I have to rush?! Well, it was because, I was having tuition. On top of that I had to cook. Managed both somehow. Even gave my kids to eat some.
Poor valentine of mine was held up at work. He could not come earlier. The heart-shaped pizza I had ordered had arrived as well. I waited for him. Waited.
I had lit candles and arranged flowers on my dinning table to make it a special dinner. Even the candles burnt out and I relit them. My valentine arrived at 12:30am. He looked so shacked. So worn out. So... fragile. I felt so sorry for him, clearly I could see he wasn't in a mood for romance, but a good shower, a good meal and the most essential of it all. Sleep.
I blew out the candles and switched on the lights while the romantic setting faded. This wasn't the right time. He just needed rest and that's what he got.
Was I upset? Well, yeah I was alittle, but the joy came when he gave me gentle kisses saying he appreciated what I did for him. Looking at him sleeping like an angel. was the best joy I got on my Valentine's day. Who needs romance, when the person in front of you lives only for you?!
Cheers,
Tunitha
