Hi There,
Yeah, its my stress times at work once again. Have not complained awhile, guess I should start too. Well, when the firm is short of support staff, what should they do? Employ more support staff? That is correct in a normal working environment, unfortunately at my place, the firm utilises the remaining staff and squeezes the hell out of them.
I've been working pretty crazy hours for a deskbound individual! I mean, its not as though I'm in some events/media or even any organisation where I need to work late hours. Despite this, I was leaving office at around 10 plus for awhile.
Funny how employers think. If you don't stay late, you're considered lazy and irresponsible. When you stay late, you are also considered lazy and irresponsible. So how does it work again? My place lacks encouragement and motivation. Not that I yearn nor request for any, but its quite frustrating to know that, when you show your efficency, you are given 10 folds more work to finish. Interesting isn't it? Especially when you know the bosses are seriously "crazy", "handicapped" and "weird" individuals.
Well, the toll was too much for my mum, who got stressed out because of her boss due to her always woking late and coming back home at midnight was warded into the hospital for about 4 odd days, and hear this out, my boss actually said this to me when I told her I wanted to take leave to be with my mum and take care of her, "Just because your mum's in hospital doesn't mean you have to be there? She's there because she's not been excercising and she stressed up because she's worried over you, your sis and your dad". Now, where does this make sense? How would you feel?
These are part and parcels of working life people say. To me, yeah I do agree, but there's always a limit. Arrrgggghh! To those who are working in a compassionate and caring firm, cherish it! To those who are not, well, I think you guys know best! In my case, patience is slowly reaching its limits. So..... Lets see how it goes...
Cheers,
Tunitha

Sometimes in life, do you ever wonder "Oh My God, did I just do that?".
Yeah, it happened to me. I actually called my Harry Potter Fanatic cousin up and discussed about the Sixth book of Harry Potter, HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE.
Actually, my recent addiction with this nerdy character of a boy started when I happened to borrow my colleague's book to read. The sixth book. I've watched Potter's first 3 movies, but seriously I found the last and recent one quite worth my money! Gosh, what am I talking about? I watched the movie free, proudly sponsored by my company :p
Anyways, comparatively to the other 3 movies, this was however so much less childish, more dark, and finally, just finally, one you don't bring your 5-12 year old kids to. For once, it made me appreciate the script. This was a start I guess, but without knowing the contents of Book 5, I had started the craze on wanting to know the finale in Book 7. Of course, it's not been written yet (Ya I know!), but to think I would actually take upon reading such genres.
I have to admit, after reading Book 6 (by the way, to those who know nuts about Harry Potter like i DID, its a series of 7 books, where 4 of the books have been made to movies), I had actually spent an entire day just sourcing out and finding out the facts and skeletons of the hidden clues within the books and movies. Yes, I admit, I've become a HP fan. Not a fanatic yet! That title is graciously being upheld by my sweetish Sindhu! Cheers on that Babe.
Right, so I now wait to actually catch the recent Potter movie AGAIN on IMAX. Waiting for AHEM.. "Someone" to bring me, so till then, I'll still be doing my research on the finale. By the way, this is the first time I actually surfed the net for a fiction story book. Yes and the phrase still continues....
"Oh My God, did I just do that?"
Cheers,
Tunitha
